Joel Chimoindes - CEO

Joel joined Nuvias UC as CEO on 1st March 2023 with over 25 years’ experience in the industry.

While most recently VP of the Maverick division of TD SYNNEX, Joel has also held senior roles at well-known industry players such as Imago, Clarity Technology, and Avnet. This wealth of experience, in addition to a role within a reseller, makes him ideally placed to understand all aspects of the value chain, from manufacturer to end user.

Joel has always championed the importance of building a diverse and inclusive team, and drives a culture that values every employee as an individual. As a married man with two children, who also enjoys running, Joel understands the importance of work-life balance and wellbeing in the workplace.

Gwyn Hicks - CFO

Gwyn joined Nuvias UC in March 2023 as CFO. He brings extensive experience in finance, across a variety of sectors including multi-site retail, hospitality, eCommerce, distribution, property and professional services.

Gwyn previously spent 5 years with Kubus Group, an international IT hardware and services reseller. Gwyn specialises in high-growth, strategic planning, performance improvement, restructuring and IT transformation.

Mike Curtis - CIO

Mike joined Nuvias UC in June 2023 as COO. He has been the IT industry for almost 30 years, working for system integrators, solutions providers and value added resellers. He brings extensive experience in strategy creation, business transformations, operations management, and solutions development.

Mike previously spent four years with the Bechtle Group, Europe’s largest IT hardware and solutions provider, running services and solutions development. Mike specialises in strategic planning, process improvement, restructuring, IT and business transformation, mergers, acquisitions, solutions development, and new business growth.

Wayne Gratton - CCO

Wayne joined Nuvias UC as Chief Commercial Officer in September 2023. With over 25 year’s experience in distribution and a professional background encompassing roles such as Technical Director, Business Analyst & Advisor, Digital & Business Development, and VP Marketing, Wayne brings a wealth of expertise to Nuvias UC.

Wayne has most recently held European leadership positions, demonstrating a proven track record of success through data-driven strategies and innovative business development programs for partners. He relishes the opportunity to work with Nuvias UC vendors and will focus on helping our channel partners develop their skills and market focus on collaboration solutions.

Tony Sleap - Group Financial Controller

Tony joined Nuvias UC as Group Financial Controller in December 2023. Having qualified as a Chartered Accountant at PwC, Tony moved into industry where he gained experience as FC of a fast-growing Private Equity backed SME. In this role he managed all aspects of the finance function with a focus on maximising value.

Tony’s expertise in financial matters, combined with his experience in delivering quality financial reporting is key in enabling Nuvias UC to execute its strategy.

Daniel Bassett - Sales Director, UK&I

Ed House - Commercial Director

Ed House is the Commercial Director at Nuvias UC. He has been with the business since April 2016, leading a number of roles within sales and commercial.

Prior to joining Nuvias UC, Ed spent 6 years at Imago Group PLC running a successful sales and business development team.

Ed has extensive experience in providing value added support to channel partners, helping enable them to supply Video, Voice and Cloud solutions to customers.

Kate Farrelly - European Head of Marketing

Dustin James - Sales Director, Benelux & Nordics

Dustin joined Nuvias UC in 2019, bringing over 25 years of EMEA distribution business experience. Previously, Dustin held multiple pan-European territory management roles that contributed significantly to establishing those companies as prominent distributors of tech products.

Overseeing sales, distribution, and product management across the EMEA region, Dustin honed his expertise in international sales strategies, executive management, and effective team leadership, propelling business growth and market expansion. He is a results-driven professional, dedicated to empowering resellers with cutting-edge solutions.

Julien Collangettes - Sales Director, France & RoE

Julien joined Nuvias UC in March 2021 with close to two decades of experience in IT Distribution.

Before joining Nuvias UC, Julien worked for more than 18 years at distributors such as Westcon-Comstor and Pedap Group. He has led different business functions encompassing Customer Services, Operations and Sales, enabling him to excel in meeting the needs of his business partners. Julien’s professional career has been interspersed with several awards at national and international level from multiple vendors.

Dietmar Kraume - Director of European Services

Dietmar Kraume became MD of Alliance Technologies, a Nuvias UC Business in DACH, in December 2021.

Dietmar has been working with customers since 2007 to design and deliver the digital and mobile workplace, specifically voice and video communication infrastructures. With his passion for technology he helped build several ventures, such as CREALOGIX Unified Communications GmbH, UC Point AG (Co-Founder and CTO), SoftwareONE Deutschland GmbH and, most recently, as CEO at Alliance Technologies GmbH, in the global professional and managed service business.

Sagar Gandi - Sales Director, DACH & European Services

Sagar Gandi became MD of Alliance Technologies, a Nuvias UC Business, in December 2021. His role is to lead the company in all strategic matters and grow the UC business in the DACH region.

Prior to joining Nuvias UC, Sagar was a business owner of Alliance Technologies, driving the business and building a channel partner network globally. He has extensive experience in running successful UC services businesses, and held senior strategic roles in companies such as SoftwareONE and UC Point as Head of UC Product Development.

Mark Ford - European Business Operations Director

Mark joined Nuvias UC in April 2022 as Business Operations Director. Mark has been in the communications industry for 30 years, working for service providers, mobile networks and fixed line providers. He brings extensive experience in end-to-end supply chain, bid and tender management, operations management and change management.

Mark previously spent twenty years with the Hutchison Whampoa Group with Orange and Three, the mobile phone operators managing bids for customer services and supply chain management. Mark specialises in process improvement, tender management, end to end supply chain and supply and demand planning.

Sarah Read - People Manager

Sarah joined Nuvias UC in March 2022. Prior to joining Nuvias UC, Sarah spent four years working in the charitable education sector looking after two schools and four businesses. Sarah’s earlier HR career was focused on working in the private, public and charity sectors having worked with the MOD in Germany. Whilst Sarah specialises in Employment Law and Employer Relations, her main passion is the people and she brings a wealth of generalist HR/People knowledge and experience.
