Nuvias UC’s Next Phase of Growth
Nuvias UC announces its next phase of growth, starting with the appointment of Joel Chimoindes as Chief Executive Officer from March 1st, 2023, taking over from Jeremy Keefe who has led the business for the past 2½ years.
Nuvias UC, a Rigby Group business, has seen double digit growth since its early days as a UK-only voice specialist business, and now offers a strong portfolio of voice, video and collaboration products and services, with nearly 30% of incremental sales derived from continental Europe, primarily Germany, France and Netherlands. This growth can be attributed to partnerships with market-leading vendors and an exceptional range of certified technical specialists.
In recent weeks, the Nuvias UC management team has been working with OC&C Strategy Consultants to formalise the next stage of growth into a strategic plan, taking into consideration post-Covid market dynamics, the economic outlook, and the evolution of UC and Collaboration segments.
As CEO, Joel will lead Nuvias UC through the implementation of this strategic plan by continuing to build upon Nuvias UC’s strengths in cloud-based solutions, and expertise in voice, video and collaboration products and services.
The plan will see Nuvias UC pursue a clear growth path, both organically through deepening its relationships with leading vendors, and by working closely with its channel customers to help them achieve their own goals and aspirations. Complementing organic growth investment will be relevant consideration for further M&A to help deepen geographic presence in current markets and/or provide expansion into adjacent growth markets.
Complementing our next evolutionary phase, Gwyn Hicks, joins on March 20th as Chief Financial Officer, taking over from James Orton. To ensure a smooth transition, there will be a managed handover from James to Gwyn through April. Gwyn is an experienced CFO, having had exposure to many different sectors and company profiles from software development start up, IT reseller/distribution as well as large corporates, private companies, and leisure sector businesses.
Although this announcement conveys some significant shifts within the business, we see these changes as a natural evolution, reflecting our reaction to continual change in our markets and the intensification of customer needs. We will continue to strengthen our vendor and customer relationships, as well as providing leadership, technical specialist expertise and clear value creation for all stakeholders in the markets we serve.
The business thanks both Jeremy and James for their hard work and commitment over recent years. In his 2½ year tenure, Jeremy was a key architect in the material growth of the business, its expansion into video beyond voice, and its broader presence internationally, notably with the acquisition of Alliance Technologies in Germany in late 2021.
